Mivelogna - Fight Against Poverty component (September 2022 - December 2022)

NGO JADE carried out a poverty-reduction project called the "MIVELOGNA Program" from September to December 2022. The goal was to support young people, stay-at-home mothers and unemployed people in Tamatave and the surrounding area as they launch an income-generating activity (IGA) or already run one, by helping them materially and personally sustain it. The project also aims to adapt the labor sector over the long term within the city of Tamatave and the Atsinanana region. Lastly, NGO JADE wishes to raise awareness of its actions and establish strategic partnerships to achieve these goals.

The MIVELOGNA project underwent a second executive phase in December 2022. Before that, 47 project beneficiaries received initial training over two half-days at the end of August, at NGO JADE's headquarters. The training focused on personal development and financial education, provided through a collaboration with Davôlagna Succes and a client advisor from Accès Banque Toamasina.

Of the 47 beneficiaries, 41 were women residing in Tamatave I. Eleven received support for the 25-euro kit, twelve for the 50-euro kit, twelve for the 125-euro kit and twelve for the 150-euro kit. These support kits are intended to help beneficiaries with their income-generating activities.

By supporting young people, women and unemployed individuals in their income-generating activities, NGO JADE contributed to the fight against poverty in the Tamatave region and helped its beneficiaries better adapt to changes in the labor sector. Furthermore, the initial training and material assistance helped strengthen beneficiaries' entrepreneurial spirit and encourage business creation in the region
