Dev Bootcamp 2016

The Dev Bootcamp organized by the NGO JADE at the Alliance française de Tamatave offered intensive programming training to 20 to 40 learners at two different levels: HTML5 and CSS3 for beginners and Java DSL for more advanced learners. The training began on November 21 and lasted until November 25. Learners received 30 hours of practical training in HTML5 and CSS3 for beginners, given by two members of the NGO JADE and an IT professional, MIRATINA Quincy and REALY Brian, and LEMAIKA Christopher for the CSS3 part. The Java DSL part of the training was given by the manager of the AGIR IT workshop, Mr. RAKOTOMAMPIONONA Jean Paul, and lasted seventeen and a half hours. In total, 22 people took part in at least one of the two trainings.

The two trainings offered during the Tamatave Dev Bootcamp focused on practice rather than theory. The HTML5 and CSS3 part was centered on hands-on work, and participants worked on concrete projects throughout the week. Learners were able to benefit from the expertise of NGO JADE members and an IT professional to acquire basic programming skills. The Java DSL part of the training was also very hands-on, with practical aspects of programming in the Java DSL framework. Learners had the opportunity to immediately apply the knowledge acquired by working on practical projects.
