Viavy Smart 2019
The second edition of "VIAVY SMART", a training on Digital Communication, was held from 8 to 12 April in Toamasina, organized by ONG JADE in collaboration with Book News Madagascar and the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Digital Development (MPTDN). The program aims to further integrate Malagasy women into the ICT field, where men are more active, by carrying out actions related to the ICT theme and organizing events and training sessions for the benefit of Toamasina's female community.
The objectives of the training were to train up to 20 young women on the theme of digital communication, to support and help young women better grasp information and communication technologies, and to increase ONG Jade's visibility in Toamasina. Digital communication is a communication technique that involves using various communication tools through the digital world. Participants were also introduced to the use of Photoshop software and to a personal development session.
RATSIRAHONANA Samantha Tiasoa , journalist and founder of Book News Madagascar, was the main trainer on the topic of Digital Communication during this training. The Personal Development and Photoshop Basics modules were delivered by two members of ONG Jade: RANDRIANASARA Max Francis Morel – personal development coach – and ANDRIAMANANTENA Mamy Harinoro - active member of ONG JADE. 14 young women were certified at the end of the training. The certificates were presented during a cocktail reception organized by Cool Event, a startup created by some of the participants of the first edition of Viavy Smart.
