Viavy Smart 2026: 10th Edition of the Web Skills Training Program for Women in Toamasina

20 July 2026 marked the launch of the 10th edition of Viavy Smart, NGO JADE's flagship training programme dedicated to the digital empowerment of women in Toamasina. Over five days, participants were trained in Canva and CapCut for creating visual content, as well as given an introduction to generative artificial intelligence — digital and creative skills they can put to direct use in their professional lives.

Driven by the conviction that women should no longer be subject to the digital revolution but fully master it, Viavy Smart trains participants who are able to create their own content, showcase their skills, offer their services, and build their own professional future. This is the whole vision of the programme: giving every woman the means to work, start a business, and generate income through digital tools, at her own pace.

The training concluded with a certificate ceremony, crowning five days of learning, commitment, and transformation for all participants. This 10th edition confirms the lasting success of the Viavy Smart programme, run by NGO JADE for several years now as a concrete lever for the economic empowerment of women in the Toamasina region.
