I am TSARAHASINA Colombia, a student at ISSEDD, the "Higher Institute of Sciences, Environment & Sustainable Development". I have a deep interest in environmental protection and social development. ONG JADE attracted me through its mission of promoting the use of ICT to give young people equitable access to digital resources and through its commitment to raising awareness among city dwellers about environmental issues. I am convinced that JADE shares my values and aspirations, notably its educational mission for the schooling of disadvantaged children in rural areas of the former Province of Toamasina and its promotion of entrepreneurship for young people.
Experience
January 2026–present: Board Member – Advisor
- Provide strategic advice on the NGO's objectives and mission
- Assess the needs of target communities and define development priorities.
- Design project plans
- Provide technical support to project teams, particularly for complex projects requiring specialized skills.
- Oversee project implementation and ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with project plans and the NGO's quality standards.
- Assess the impact of projects on target communities and ensure that results are measured reliably and objectively.
- Represent the NGO with partners, donors, and local authorities, ensuring that the NGO's interests are protected and promoted.
- Develop partnerships with other organizations, institutions, and businesses to strengthen the NGO's capacities and increase its impact.
January 2023 – January 2024: Project Coordinator of JADE NGO
- Ensure coordination between the teams working on the NGO's projects, making sure all activities are integrated and shared objectives are achieved.
- Manage human resources, ensuring that volunteers are recruited, trained, motivated, and evaluated effectively.
- Coordinate with partners from other organizations, institutions, and businesses to strengthen the NGO's capacities and increase its impact.
- Ensure monitoring and evaluation of the projects
- Take on specific responsibilities related to the NGO's projects, such as budget or human resource management, ensuring that activities are carried out effectively and efficiently.
January 2022 – January 2023: Officer for the Environmental Protection area
- Design action plans for projects in this area
- Implement decisions made at the General Assembly
- Assign the tasks needed to carry out projects to active members
- Provide project reports on the area

- Take part in carrying out project tasks
- Contribute to research and data collection on social and environmental issues, community needs, and possible solutions.
- Take part in awareness campaigns on environmental issues and the promotion of ICT tools (Information and Communication Technology)
- Carry out monitoring and evaluation of the NGO's projects
February 2021: Selected as Friend of JADE
- Take part in meetings, training sessions, and workshops to strengthen their professional skills and gain new knowledge about the NGO's projects
- Assist the mentor with their daily tasks, in particular by carrying out research, drafting reports, or organizing events.
- Carry out monitoring and evaluation by collecting data and preparing reports to help the NGO improve its programs and achieve its goals.
